FluidOne is Cool in the Summer: A Work Experience Blog

My week at FluidOne has been more interesting than I could’ve imagined. I managed to get my spot here through my mum, as I’m not a huge fan of school or work and didn’t find myself anything for work experience. At the start of this week, I thought it was just a way of getting work experience but it turned into a brilliant week that I wouldn’t want to change for anything.

My favourite thing about working here is without a doubt, the environment everyone has to work in. It’s not like any other office where there are high pressure and stress. In the office at FluidOne, there is always music playing, laughter and the fact that everyone here is extremely friendly to one another.

From my week of experience, I have learnt many important things about each department, but I think the main lesson I’m going to take away is that not every place I work is going to be stressful and miserable. No one should be forced to work in a place like that. I now know the fact that there are much better work environments available, where people can have fun and enjoy themselves while still getting work done.

Now if I had to choose my favourite day out of the five, it would have to be the last. Now that’s not because its last day and its almost over but it's Friday which means that I get to reflect and just see how much I have learnt during my time here.

However, if I had to decide my least favourite day it I would have to make it out as Monday. The first day. This isn’t because I found it boring or anything. It’s mainly the fact that I didn’t know anybody, but I soon found out that I had nothing to worry about as I was surrounded by great people.

For anyone who is going to FluidOne whether it be for an actual job or just work experience, you must know that there isn’t anything to be afraid. As soon as you enter that office you are in a safe and friendly place where you can relax and get your work done. And if you need help then all you have to do is ask as everyone is more than happy to help you with anything you need.
